On 26 October 2018, ICELDS Board Chair Dr. Hanna Vasilevich participated in the ASEN Diaspora Nationalism Workshop hosted by the London School of Economics.

At the workshop Dr. Vasilevich presented the preliminary results of her research on Russia’s policies towards its diaspora communities abroad titled “Russian World” and compatriots’ policies. In her presentation, Dr. Vasilevich focused on the framework and limitations of the Russian policies towards compatriots and the perception of these policies in a number of the post-Soviet countries, including Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.
